Manufactured in diameters from 2 inch through 64 inch, the S-2000 is certified to ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and CSA Z662 Category II with a 0.5 / 0.6 design factor. It can also be certified to ASME Section VIII Division 1 for ASME applications. Certified Pipeline Compliance
The S-2000 is certified to ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and CSA Z662 Category II and can be supplied with ASME Section VIII Division 1 code stamping. Closures are furnished with Pressure Alert Valves in accordance with UG-35.2 of ASME BPVC VIII Div. 1.
Operator-Focused Design
The door swings on a horizontal axis so the operator is never required to stand in front of the door. The integrated Pressure Alert Valve must be removed before the clamp can be released, adding a controlled safety step prior to opening.
Sealing & Seal Protection
A large cross section Viton O-ring is positioned on the hub outside the primary working area, providing positive sealing while protecting the sealing surface from tools and debris. The bore seal design protects sealing surfaces during operation and maintenance.
Machining & Durability
The S-2000 incorporates machined latch and door handles, grease maintenance ports on pivot and latch assemblies, robust hinge plates, and machined adjustment journals that secure field adjustments and provide long term durability. Snap ring and cotter pin retention on the latch assembly creates a failsafe design.
