Available in sizes 2” through 24” and pressure classes 150 through 2500, this non-slam, flapperless piston design provides quiet operation and dependable sealing for oil, liquid gas, and liquid applications. Manufactured in accordance with API 6D, flanged ends comply with ANSI B16.5 and butt-weld ends with ANSI/ASME B16.25.

Performance Advantages

Backflow Prevention

As upstream pressure increases above downstream pressure, the internal piston rises from the seat to allow forward flow. When flow decreases, the piston lowers to seat against the body’s metal seat, effectively preventing reverse flow.

Non-Slam, Quiet Operation

The flapperless piston design rises and lowers with changing flow rates, reducing seat impact and minimizing noise in pulsating flow pipelines.

Broad Pressure & Size Range

Available in sizes up to 24” and pressure classes up to 2500, the SCV Piston Check Valve is suited for high-pressure pipeline and process applications.

Flexible Installation Options

Designed for horizontal service in all sizes and vertical flow service for 6” and smaller when equipped with a piston spring, ensuring proper operation across varying system configurations.
