Shut-Off Pig Valve
Triple S Solutions supplies the Tulsa Pig Valves Shut-Off Pig Valve designed for cost-effective pipeline maintenance and positive isolation of media flow. For pipeline pig passage detection see the Stark Pig-Reporter passage indicator.
Engineered as a trunnion mounted ball valve in accordance with API 6D and ASME B16.34, this design allows pig launching and receiving within a compact footprint while reducing equipment, manpower, and downtime compared to traditional barrel and trap systems.
Estimated savings range from 25 to 60 percent over conventional systems.

Performance Advantages
Positive Isolation & Shut-Off
Seat arrangement with sealing lip provides energized upstream seating for positive shut-off. Automatic downstream body venting enhances operational safety and control.
Flexible Pigging Operations
Three pigging configurations are possible depending on baffle plate position and flow direction: launch, receive, or launch and receive. A variety of pig styles can be used, with recommended pig sizes provided for 2 inch through 12 inch valves.
Reduced Footprint and Lower Operating Cost
Designed to replace traditional barrel and trap systems, reducing equipment count, manpower requirements, and downtime while maintaining safe pigging operations.
High Pressure Capability
Available in ASME Class 150 through 1500 with pressure temperature ratings per ASME B16.34 Material Group 1.1. Working pressures range up to 3705 psi at -20°F in Class 1500.
